Hey there, folks! It has been a minute since I last posted. So much has been happening for me at this time in my life. I am turning the page to a new chapter and working to reimagine, and I want to share some of the process and ideas as I go. Wellness has become a word we hear everywhere. We see it in our food choices, fitness routines, supplements, meditation apps, skincare products, and morning rituals. But sometimes, despite doing all the “right” things, we can still feel tired, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply... not like ourselves. Perhaps that's because true wellness isn't just about what we eat or how often we exercise. Wellness is about how we nourish the whole person.
I believe that a truly well-nourished life is created through five interconnected areas: Nourish, Move, Restore, Connect, and Reimagine. Let's dive in and unpack the five pillars that can provide a simple framework for looking at wellness from a simpler perspective.
1. NOURISH 🌱
Nourish is about more than food.
Food is an important part of how we care for our bodies, but nourishment goes beyond what is on our plate.
We can nourish ourselves with nutritious food, adequate hydration, sleep, sunlight, meaningful conversations, creativity, time in nature, and experiences that bring us joy.
Nourishment asks:
What does my body need?
Am I giving myself enough fuel and rest?
What foods make me feel energized and supported?
What am I consuming emotionally and mentally?
What brings me a sense of vitality?
Sometimes nourishment means adding something to our lives.
Sometimes it means removing something that is draining us.
And sometimes it means permitting ourselves to receive.
Being nourished isn't about perfection. It's about paying attention.
2. MOVE 🌿
Movement is one of the most natural ways we can care for ourselves.
But movement doesn't have to mean an intense workout, counting steps, or pushing our bodies to exhaustion.
Movement can be walking along the beach, stretching in the morning, gardening, dancing in the kitchen, practicing yoga, swimming, strength training, or simply getting up from our desks and moving throughout the day.
The question isn't: “How much exercise did I get today?”
It can be: “How can I bring more movement and vitality into my day?”
As we move through different seasons of life, our bodies change. Our relationship with movement can change too. The goal is connection.
Move because your body deserves to be celebrated and enjoyed.
3. RESTORE 💚
We live in a culture that often celebrates being busy.
Busy can feel productive.
Busy can feel important.
Busy can even feel safe.
But our bodies and minds need opportunities to recover. Restore is about creating space for that recovery. Restoration can include sleep, quiet time, meditation, breathing practices, time outdoors, creative activities, massage, Reiki, journaling, or simply sitting quietly with a cup of tea. It can also mean emotional restoration. Sometimes what we need isn't another productivity strategy.
We need to stop.
We need to breathe.
We need to process what we've been carrying.
We need to permit ourselves to say:
“I don't have to solve everything today.”
Rest is NOT laziness. IT IS part of the work of being well.
4. CONNECT 🤍
Human beings aren't meant to live in isolation. Connection is a fundamental part of wellbeing. And connection isn't simply about how many people are in our lives. It's about the quality of those relationships and how we feel within them.
Do we feel seen?
Do we feel heard?
Can we be ourselves?
Do we have people who support us?
And perhaps most importantly:
Are we connected to ourselves?
Sometimes becoming healthier means changing the relationships around us.
That can mean creating boundaries within relationships. It can also mean:
letting go of relationships that continually drain us
asking for help.
finding community with people who share our values and interests.
And sometimes, the most important relationship we need to strengthen is the one we have with ourselves.
Connection begins with belonging—and belonging begins within.
5. REIMAGINE ✨
This is the pillar that asks us to look forward. Because wellness isn't only about feeling better today; it's also about creating a life we actually want to live.
Our lives change.
Careers change.
Relationships change.
Families change.
Our bodies change.
Our priorities change.
And sometimes the person we were five, ten, or twenty years ago isn't the person we're becoming. That's not failure! That's growth.
Reimagine invites us to ask:
What do I want this next chapter to look like?
What am I ready to release?
What brings me purpose?
What have I always wanted to explore?
What would I do if I stopped worrying about what everyone else expected?
What does a meaningful life look like for me now?
You don't have to have all the answers; you simply have to be willing to ask the questions. Your next chapter doesn't have to look like your last one.
Bringing the Five Pillars Together
The beauty of the five pillars is that they aren't separate. They influence one another. When we nourish our bodies, we may have more energy to move.
When we move, we may sleep and restore more deeply. When we restore, we may have more emotional capacity for meaningful connection. When we connect, we may feel supported enough to imagine new possibilities.
And when we begin to reimagine our lives, we may become more intentional about how we nourish, move, restore, and connect.
It's a cycle.
Nourish.Move.Restore.Connect.Reimagine.
Not a checklist.
Not a prescription.
Not another set of rules telling you how to live.
Instead, it's an invitation to pause and ask: What does being well actually mean to me?
Wellness Isn't About Perfection
Perhaps the most important part of the WellNourished philosophy is this: You don't have to do everything. Some days you'll nourish beautifully and barely move. Some days you'll have movement but forget to rest. Some seasons you'll need more connection. Other seasons you'll need more solitude.
And there may be times when your entire focus needs to be on restoration.
That's okay. Wellness is not a destination where we finally arrive, and everything is perfect. It is a relationship with learning to listen to ourselves. It is noticing what we need. It's making small choices that support the person we're becoming. And it's giving ourselves grace when life doesn't go according to plan.
A WellNourished Life
A well-nourished life isn't necessarily a perfect life. It is a life in which we are learning to care for ourselves—body, mind, heart, relationships, and spirit.
It's a life where we make room for nourishment.
Where we find ways to move.
Where we allow ourselves to restore.
Where we cultivate meaningful connection.
And where we remain curious enough to reimagine what is possible.
Because wellness isn't about becoming someone new.
It's about becoming more fully yourself.
A Reflection for This Week
Take a quiet moment and consider the five pillars:
NOURISH: What do I need more of right now?
MOVE: How can I bring more vitality into my body?
RESTORE: Where do I need to slow down?
CONNECT: What relationship or community needs my attention?
REIMAGINE: What possibility is calling me into my next chapter?
You don't have to change everything.
Choose one pillar. Choose one small action. Begin there.
That is enough - YOU ARE ENOUGH!
Welcome to WellNourished.

Love this! I feel like this is the guidance we could all use more of in a world that is full of "more" and "faster" it can be so easy to forget to slow down enough to figure out where we're at right now and make intentional choices about our wellness.
